In 2023, Chinese Association for Laboratory Animal Sciences (CALAS) received a total of 1.5048 million yuan in donations, with expenditures totaling 1.354 million yuan. CALAS has been accepting donations from various sectors of society since 2005, including corporate entities and friends from both domestic and international communities, all of whom have supported the association's cause. The association adheres to strict principles regarding donations: clear rules, proper use, and maximizing the value of funds. Each donation is received and used in accordance with the "Management Measures for Accepting Public Welfare Donations by Chinese Association for Laboratory Animal Sciences". The funds are mainly used for academic exchanges in the field of laboratory animals, supporting the development of journals in the field, sponsoring scientists to participate in international exchanges, conducting technical training, popularizing science, and rewarding scientific achievements. The donations in 2023 were mainly used to support key projects such as editing and publishing academic journals, compiling group standards, and implementing guidelines.
With the arrival of the Year of the Dragon, we are honored to have received generous support from all donors. Your contribution is not only a support for laboratory animal science but also an important investment in human health and scientific development. Laboratory animal science, as a core part of life science research, plays a crucial role in accelerating human exploration of the mysteries of life and revealing the mechanisms of diseases.
